Scheduling of Youth Soccer Matches within NSYSA is a coordinated effort for all member clubs/associations that have teams who at a minimum have their home matches listed on the NSYSA Website. This includes matches for the following Leagues:
The match data for each of these leagues is listed on the NSYSA website and then linked to the Kitsap Peninsula Soccer Referee Association (KPSRA) website for their assignment of officials to all U11 and above matches within the area serviced by KPSRA. In addition, the assignment and payment of officials for any of the Small Sided Matches conducted under the authority of NSYSA is performed via the use of the NSYSA website.

Having all the above matches listed on this site, enables us to coordinate all applicable field usage and referee coverage for these competitions. It also allows us the ability to adjudicate any and all Misconducts associated with the leagues under our Authority.
Typically in December of each year, the NSYSA Competition Committee, made up of representatives from each member club/assoc (primarily Registrars and Directors of Competition), will meet to review the status of all teams from the Fall Leagues. The intent is to review the season and identify those recreational teams that are dominating in their brackets that might be better served by playing up a year or playing in a competitive bracket. This review also identifies teams that may be looked at next fall to be held back due to having a extremely poor year (i.e. loss of all their matches).
In preparation for this meeting, each club registrar is asked to update their Team Data on the NSYSA Website for each competitive team playing in the fall. When they have completed those updates, they are to have each of their competitive teams submit a NSYSA Competitive Play Application. These applications enable the District to track each team, the team to tell us its preferences and desires, and the clubs/associations to review and accept/deny these applications before coming to the District for viewing at this competition committee meeting. Applicable Deadlines for these Competitive Play Applications are sent out to each Club/Association and also posted on the NSYSA Calendar for all to see. The primary role of the NSYSA Competition Committee Meeting in June is to determine the best placement for each of these teams. It will determine for instance if there is sufficient competitive competition within the district at any particular age/gender to conduct a NSYSA Competitive League (Div1) at each age/gender and if so, which teams should be included in such a bracket. It will also determine if any other teams in that same age/gender should in fact play elsewhere (i.e. District III, I, etc.) because they are stronger than the other teams remaining within the NSYSA Div1 bracket. Overall, the goal of this Committee at this meeting is to find the best level of play for each of the competitive teams concerned.
Between June and August, the individual club registrars will be updating their Team Data on the NSYSA Website for each of their recreational teams in preparation for the Associations Fall Scheduling Meeting typically scheduled for early August.
At this meeting the following items will be accomplished:
Each member club will receive a listing of all its home matches for each of their teams playing under the Authority of District IV, KPYSA, NSYSA, CKSC or NKSC. Each club will then assign each of their individual home matches a Field/Time for the scheduled date of play and then return that listing to the District IV Scheduler for compilation.
At the same time, the District IV Scheduler is gathering team schedules for District IV teams participating in the other leagues playing in the fall (i.e. State League, PDL, ,RCL, CYL, District III and District I). We have no control over when the schedules from each of these other leagues will be ready. However, when each are received, the applicable matches are added to the list of Home Matches for each club and sent to them for assigning of Field/Time for each of those home matches. These are then also returned to the District IV Scheduler to create one consolidated listing of matches.
This consolidated list is reviewed and made public and posted on the District IV Website a minimum of two weeks prior to the start of the actual season to coincide with our contract agreement between District IV and the local referee association (Kitsap Peninsula Soccer Referee Association – KPSRA).
Changes to the published schedules and unavoidable, however the District will make every effort to keep them to a minimum. Any match change entered on the District IV Website will automatically generate a Notice to the individual identified by the applicable club registrar as Point of Contact for each team associated with that change. It is the responsibility of each team staff to check its schedule weekly to ensure they are cognizant of any and all changes made to their schedules. Only changes to a schedule made after 7 PM on Thursday for that weekends play will be notified in some other fashion.
What day a particular bracket/gender is normally scheduled to play on and length of season is determined by the League they are participating in. In general, they are as follows (please note the possible exceptions)
